MEET ITCHY FEET FAMILY

ITCHY FEET FAMILY is a family based in Adelaide, Australia, who have covered 46 countries - and counting!
BC (before children) life was filled with travel adventures. My first overseas trip was to the USA as a teenager, I discovered a Qantas Frequent Flier points hack in my twenties and travelled around Australia business class on 40,000 points, lived in Washington DC and London on work secondments and have always enjoyed exploring the world at every opportunity.
BC I crossed off a huge amount of Europe, took an Africa Safari, completed charity work in India, took my first cruise through the Med, sailed from London to NY on the QM2, drove from one end of the UK to the other, dabbled in Asia and explored a good chunk of North America.
As a family I have been determined to continue the adventures. Jye took his first flight at 6 months old to Sydney and has since had four trips to the US, been to nearly every state in Australia (ACT to go), visited New Zealand and Fiji, smashed out a fair chunk of Asia including Bali, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei and Singapore. In 2017 we took our first family holiday to Europe where we cruised the Norwegian Fjords, did a road trip through Germany and enjoyed the top sights of London.
In 2018 we had trips to Normanville, South Australia, a week in Melbourne, a big adventure to USA that included an Alaska Cruise, a week in Mexico and time in San Diego. As well as a week on the Gold Coast and a Christmas cruise departing Sydney in the South Pacific.
In 2019 we celebrated the New Year in Noosa, Queensland, enjoyed Australia Day on a cruise, went for a weekend Comedy Cruise out of Adelaide, spent Easter in Hong Kong and enjoyed trips to Melbourne, Gold Coast and Tasmania.
Pre-Covid we loved to cruise. We have cruised Cunard, P&O, Star Cruises, Holland America and Carnival departing out of Sydney, Brisbane, Fremantle, Adelaide, Southampton, Seattle and Florida. Cruise ships have taken us to Central America, South Pacific, the Queensland Coast, Asia, Norway, Alaska and just out to sea.
In 2020, like everyone we were a bit quiet. But in 2021 we travelled domestically in Australia and explored our own backyard. We visited Brisbane for New Years, had a week in Tasmania including a farm stay at Rathmore, visited the Northern Territory in July and October and enjoyed camping and weekend getaways in South Australia. In 2022 we started the year with a trip to Launceston, Cradle Mountain, Brickendon Estate and Corinna Wilderness Experience in Tasmania. In 2023 we kicked off the year with a trip to Bali.
With a BA (Journalism) I have always had a passion for writing. People often ask me for tips and advice on places to go, things to see, travel deals and ways to travel. I have always been an avid Trip Advisor reviewer and rank in the top 2% of Adelaide reviewers (still working on that top spot!). ITCHY FEET FAMILY is my creative outlet and passion, I hope you all enjoy sharing our adventures with us and are able to use some of the tips we pick up along the way.
We hope that we inspire you to dust off the passport and explore the world with your family when we safely can. The memories you create will last forever and the experiential learning opportunities you will be offered are priceless.
